One of the very spiky (and painful!) plants left in a wooden planter outside the front door by the previous owners of the property. It’s covered in little cobwebs, but I don’t want to brave the spikes to brush them off.

A small sapling stretching upwards next to the lower dam. A sapling of what, I do not know – I rely on my mother for most horticultural knowledge.

I loved the vivid green of this delicate vine making its way up the tree trunk.
